A workshop on “Big Data and Infectious Disease Epidemiology” has been held on 9-11 September 2019 at DGHS, Mohakhali, Dhaka.

Dr Md Iqbal Kabir, (Director of Planning & Research, DGHS) should get special thanks for arranging such futuristic workshop in Bangladesh collaborating with the team from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and Telenor.

Thank you Dr. Caroline Buckee, (Associate Professor of Epidemiology, Harvard School of Public Health) for inviting Sazid Ibne Zaman and his groupmappers team for taking one session in the 3day long workshop. The workshop was immensely helpful for all the scientist, researchers in the medical and public health field across the country presented there.

Last but not the least, Groupmappers would like to thank the whole Caroline’s team, Pamela Martinez, a Postdoctoral Research Fellow from Harvard, Mathew V Kiang, a Postdoctoral Research Fellow from Stanford University, and Kenth Engø-Monsen, Senior Research Scientist: Analytics and AI at Telenor Group, for their valuable research-works for Bangladesh.
